What is saved
The current version stores your timetable and settings in your browser’s local storage. Offline app files are cached on the device. Timetables are not synced to an account. Optional community accounts store an email address and authentication information with Supabase. Your public display name, comment text and posting date are visible after moderation; email addresses are not shown publicly. Ratings, helpful votes and reports are stored online. Reports and account identifiers are restricted to the backend. Sign-in tokens are stored in browser session storage.
What leaves your device
Visiting the site sends ordinary web requests to our hosting provider, Vercel. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details. The app does not intentionally upload your timetable to a StudyTick database.
Optional daily summary emails
If you opt in, StudyTick syncs focus intervals, recorded minutes, task completion and distraction counts to your account in Supabase. Thought text, task names and manual note labels stay in this browser. Daily summary emails send study totals and counts through Brevo to your verified account address, at your chosen cutoff and timezone. Activity and report history expire after 32 days from their last update; unresolved thought metadata can carry forward. Delivery suppression is retained to honor complaints and unsubscribes. Turn off automatic emails in End-of-Day Summary to stop future delivery. Offline or unsynced activity may be missing from a report.
Ads, analytics and permissions
StudyTick uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and visits. A short-lived activity signal is also sent to Supabase from the main timetable page: random browser and tab identifiers, whether Focus View is active, and an account ID only when signed in. This supports an administrator-only dashboard showing aggregate current activity. It does not send task titles, goals, timetable details, or email addresses. Inactive sessions stop counting after about 90 seconds; old activity records are deleted after 24 hours when new activity arrives. No advertising scripts are included. Notifications and screen wake lock are requested only through the related controls. The app cannot identify which other apps you open.
Your choices
Export your timetable for a backup. Clearing this site’s browser data removes local saved information and may remove offline access. Backups contain your task names and goals; share them only with people you choose.
Shared devices
People using the same browser profile may see saved tasks. Avoid putting confidential medical, student or other sensitive information into task names.
